I love Project Gutenberg so much. Yesterday I read the Great Gatsby again for the first time since high school. I think I should probably do that with all the classics I found myself unhappy with back then, just to see if a little maturity (one hopes, anyway) has changed my perception.
( Are spoiler cuts required for books published in 1925? )

I am ridiculously excited about yuletide this year. I'm not requesting anything, but am signed up to pinch hit and really hope I get at least one assignment. * I've no idea what prompted it, but I've been on a Stephen King kick lately. After watching 1408 and being disappointed, I re-read the short story and found it just as chilling as I remember. Then I read Blaze (a King trunk novel written as Bachman) and Lisey's Story. I can't remember why I passed on Lisey's Story when it was first released, but I found it quite enjoyable. Blaze was... interesting. It didn't read like a Bachman book, probably because King supposedly re-wrote two thirds of it before submitting it for publication. It was gripping, but ended abruptly, as if King ran out of steam or ideas or interest.

My son, for reasons unclear to me, has purchased and then given to me a new slimline PSP. It's pretty and silver and light. And pretty. I now need games and accessories. Especially Crisis Core.

I really need to stay away from Seventh Sanctum. But since I can't, I'm going to try doing at least a drabble (or two) when I know both fandoms.
Dark Tower/Once Upon a Time in Mexico
( Once Upon a Time in Mid-World )
( and then some time later )
